The secret to great French fries is in the double fry. The initial 325 degree fry cooks the potatoes through, while the final 400 degree fry ensures a crispy exterior. Raising the temperature of two or more quarts of fry oil is no speedy affair. Thanks to the Air-Fryer’s ability to rapidly change temperatures, you can make fries faster and healthier. Just 10 minutes at 300 degrees is enough to cook the potatoes and the following 10 minutes at 390 degrees ensures that they come out with a cover-worthy golden glow.
Tip: Invest in a French fry cutter to ensure your potatoes are cut exactly the same and end up with even browning.
